The Banner-News

Carly Maisel
Senior, Carly Maisel, is entering her third and final year on The Banner. She was the editor her sophomore year and the editor in chief her junior and senior year. Carly wants to continue writing in college. Studying journalism has been her dream since she was introduced to the subject. Her favorite types of articles are investigative stories. Being able to dig deeper into the true story and inform the public brings out a drive in her. When not writing, editing, or taking pictures she is spending time with her friends and family. Taking care of the newsroom is no different than taking care of her siblings. Being the oldest of six, she understands taking the lead role. She enjoys traveling back to her hometown in Michigan, but only to visit because it is way too cold there. She is also active in her church youth group. Her main goal this year is to leave her legacy for all The Banner students to come. She knows with hard work and determination this will be the best year for The Banner-News, yet.
