Reu’Niya Chatman
The last couple days of summer Reu’Niya Chatman moved to Melissa, Tx. She moved because her parents wanted land and wanted to live in a smaller, more country town. There, she discovered that she may have a future in Newspaper and Journalism. “I definitely was not excited to move. I’ve been going to Prosper schools since I was in Pre-K. It’s going to be a hard transition going from an Eagle to a Cardinal but I’m willing to give it a try,” said Reu’Niya. Reu’Niya is currently in the ninth grade and is getting a fresh start at a brand new high school. She enjoys all of her classes especially English and ASL. Along with playing soccer and basketball. She is the photographer for The Banner-News. She is a hardworking and devoted student and loves to read. In her spare time, you can probably find her playing soccer, playing basketball, reading, or cooking. As a freshman, Reu’Niya is so happy about all of the opportunities she’s going to get to experience. She is super excited to see where the next four years will take her and cannot wait for the future.
